Day 847
A sannyasi [Hindu monk, Swami] forgets his lower nature and identifies himself with his higher nature. That is, he witnesses the good and the bad. The witness is higher than both.
To attain one-pointed [concentrated, focused] devotion, the attitude of [being] the servant of the guru is the secret, because it keeps the mind alert. But it takes a long time.
Cease identifying the [higher] Self with the mind.
Read holy books to purify yourselves – to realise God. But only a [God] realised person's word can do this – can strike you [to awaken you].
If you get angry with God it is a blessing – otherwise how will He show you He is in everything?
If you do not want someone to die, say: 'Lord, I worship you as the winner of death in that person.'
You must know you are Divine Spirit and not an erring [mistake-making, flawed] being.
If what we read we truly do, in a month's time your nature will change – the lower heart centre will go to the higher heart centre.
