This is an audio track among tracks. In the positive sense, it’s like drinking from a spiritual firehose. Swamiji is addressing the age-old question: ‘What is the purpose of life?’ His answers are an aphorism [crisp condensation] in one line, followed by a maha vakya [great truth] in the next.
Listening carefully and attentively to this recording must be life-transforming. Because it encourages us to make the best use of this birth. And gets rid of, once and for all, any excuse or confusion about the difference between what is ‘of this world’ and what is not of this world.
Swamiji urges us to throw off the ‘inbuilt ignorance’ with which too many of us appear to be born. We are blessed to be hearing these recommendations and guidelines from one who isn’t talking someone else’s theory, or quoting from a book, but who is speaking truths as only One who has lived, experienced and realised them, can.
Swamiji’s thematic ‘remedial thinking’ line is: Take life and use it to reach God.

These recordings or the excerpts from them, were made from the early 1970s onward, by Mother Radha, a close devotee of Swamiji’s and edited for uploading here by our gurubhai and her son, Brother Tim. Please be mindful that what Swamiji was saying may have been specific to an individual or a group of people with him, at the time.
