notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.

Day 323

Renounce, detach. Pray: ‘O [Divine] Mother, it has been so long, so
long. Reveal Thyself to me.’ Do what She wants, as She wants. Then you
are pure.

The gopis [devotees of Lord Krishna] suffered a thousand miseries for Krishna.

Be like Radha [Lord Krishna’s
devotee-consort/divine Shakti]: sacrifice thought, word and deed.

Sri Radha got tired one day and asked Krishna to carry her.

He disappeared saying, ‘I belong to all, to none in particular.’
All are Devaki [his earthly mother – i.e. He would not favour one over the other].

When God-realisation comes, you give birth [metaphorically] to Krishna. The guru-disciple relationship then is non-existent. His reaction is not
important.

The guru’s disciples all suffer from jealousy – and the guru suffers
because he sees you suffering and cannot help. He is Knowledge, Bliss,
Absolute [Satchidananda].

‘I am Spirit. I am not the body, not the mind.’ Say this for six months
and see what happens. Others will think you are mad, but you will see that they
are mad. If one stays in the body after that, it is because there is something
to finish. If others prostrate to you, say: ‘O Ma [Divine Mother], all is
yours.’

I have shown you the place and put the spade in your hand. When are you
going to start digging?

Krishna says, ‘Think of Me [God] all
the time.’ Thus, put the Ishtam [personal deity or Ishta Deva] in your heart
and hold the Ishtam’s feet. Surrender to the Ishtam. Purify yourself and offer
yourself to God.

Demand from Mother, as a child from its mother. Offer all to Her, mind,
money, senses.
