Swamiji speaks on fault-finding, imagination, meditation and ego. Daily Talks excerpt 166.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
Sri Ramakrishna stressed: Don’t find fault with others, look at your own faults and root them out. [Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi repeatedly said the same thing. And the last words she spoke before leaving the body, was that same warning.]
You can’t look after anybody, God looks after everybody.
If something goes wrong, ask yourself: ‘Do I want to please God or someone else?’
When meditating make yourself absent, and God will do everything for you. It is imagination first, then later on it becomes reality. [Swamiji stressed to us again and again that ‘Imagination is the greatest gift.‘ Not a great gift. But THE greatest gift.]
Meditation leads to powers. So those who do meditation should talk less and do more japa [repetition of a mantra, a sacred sound syllable, or one of the many names attributed to God].
Don’t throw your hands freely on others [ie. avoid unnecessary physical contact].
Think of yourself as a point of light. This is a very beautiful meditation. Or think of an ocean of light and merge in it.
Always remember you are a soul who has put on a body and mind to play the drama of life [lila].
Imagine you are spirit – this is the greatest secret of sadhana [spiritual practise].
You can’t altogether get rid of the ego [ahamkara], so be humble. This leads to self-surrender.
Always see Him [the Ishta Devata] smiling and full of light and happiness – you will be happier.
An Avatar includes all Avatars. Just as knowledge of God includes all knowledge – love of God includes all love.
