Talks Excerpt 324. Swamiji says: Do not smack a child, it affects the nerves.

Love and devotion are like a river. If there is no water, there is no river. If there is no love, no devotion, you are nothing, you do nothing.

Arati is light offered to Him [God].

Obey the guru’s instructions. Obey the guru’s instructions. Obey the guru’s instructions.

When the instruction is given with love, why not take it? Do not waste the opportunity. Give all, surrender all. The only one who understood this was Radharani.

Meditate in the lap of your guru. Go higher and higher. There is no separation there. All is one. Realise it.

Pray thus: ‘Speak Lord, for thy servant heareth.’

Smash the ego, then suffering becomes bliss.

Use the guru mantra in any work you do, it gives power.

Ignorance is destroyed by the society of saints and sages, and by the service to a God-man.

Go beyond fear. Take refuge in the Light of the Self and the world is gone.

Do not smack a child, it affects the nerves. Teach a child discrimination, with love, and explain. A child acts from pure intellect.

Bear jealousy quietly and by slow degrees it humbles you. Confess the jealousy to yourself and this leads to patience.
