Talks Excerpt 379. Swamiji says: If you seek you must find. If you knock, it must open. All religions promise this.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
Do not criticise anybody. Do not express jealousy, anger. Then you can transform from human to divine.
Unexpressed thoughts are best. Keep them inside.
The Guru is still shining. He is a tap; go and drink from it.
Purity is all that is needed. There must be purity in thought, word and deed. ‘Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.’ How? Practise. Practise what? The instructions of the guru. The guru is needed to show the way, to say, ‘No, not that way. That is a trap, a hole.’
If you seek you must find. If you knock, it must open. All religions promise this.
Change one habit for another – replace a bad habit with a good one.
How much do we want God-realisation? Not at all. We may not be late for worship, but we will be late for God.
Concentration [dharana] is needed, to concentrate on That.
‘My kingdom is not of this Earth’ – it is within. So go deep within.
You say you cannot? You must. Say: ‘O Lord, I try. I cannot do it. You do it for me.’
Think about what Christ meant when he said: ‘Be still and know that I am God.’
Put the mind in the heart. This is meditation and takes the mind towards God.

These recordings or the excerpts from them, were made from the early 1970s onward, by Mother Radha, a close devotee of Swamiji’s and edited for uploading here by our gurubhai and her son, Brother Tim. Please be mindful that what Swamiji was saying may have been specific to an individual or a group of people with him, at the time.
