Day 942
What is the goal of life? To realise God. The method: concentration.
Sri Sarada Devi [pictured above – the nun-wife of Sri Ramakrishna] said, 'O my child, when there are difficulties, like a cloud they will go [by]. Difficulties come to all and when God incarnates [as an avatar], difficulties come to Him too.'
Sri Ramakrishna's devotees have no problem. Only, they must not indulge in the free play of the senses, or become greedy.
Every Incarnation [avatar] is full of 'super power'. I have never heard that Sri Ramakrishna had a headache. And I want to be like Sri Ramakrishna and have no headaches.
Because we are insecure, to be what we are by nature, we bully others. Think of it. Come to a conclusion.
Swamiji reads: You should not stare at the guru [spiritual preceptor] – the guru will speak first. The bhakta [devotee] says to [Lord] Ram, 'I stand and wait for thee Lord, that one day thy glance will fall on me.'
A saint does not know he is a saint, but a rogue knows he is a rogue.
Anger – that is where all your spirituality leaks away.
