Life is such a glorious thing. Take some time off and think about it. Man is complicated. The heart, the lungs etc. Look at the eye, the ear. Look. Then think at how big the heart is – comparing from an elephant to a mouse. Is feeling the same in an ant as in a man? Do ants get headaches? Each is glorifying the same thing – till it comes to the atom. But we do not think. We take things for granted.
The easiest way to [self] upliftment is to keep the mind pure: do japa [meditative repetition of a mantra or one of the many names attributed to God]. It will get your imagination going sometime. Do it whenever you get the chance. God is not fussy. He is Infinite and we are so small.
All religions [different paths] are only to give you intense yearning for God.
When you think deeply, certain questions arise. Remember them and later we can discuss them. Consider yourself a student. Put discipline on yourself. Do not pick others out for their mistakes.
Self-pity is evil.
If you smoke, you know it is bad to do that. No one is forcing you to smoke. It is free-will or past karma [debts or habits acquired in another birth]. Regardless of karma man must always stick to dharma [righteousness]. Do right, even if it hurts.
