If you answer the phone you should straight away see you are the Lord's consort standing here. Never are you dis-united. If that can happen with answering the phone then . . .
In my case, before picking that phone up I think, 'Now wait, I am going to do sadhana [spiritual practice]. Sadhana is here, now do phone japa [meditative repetition of of a mantra (sacred word or sound syllable) or one of the many names attributed to God].' No matter how I laugh and joke that part is not faded. So it helps keep your attitude constantly in mind. Attitude matters, nothing else.
Kamdev is not only providing wealth. He provides anything. He protects spirituality. Kamdev brought so many thousands of soldiers for Vasishta to fight Vishwamitra.
Truthfulness to the spirit is called sadhana.
[Pravrajika] Atmaprana [the first Sannyasini (Hindu nun) of the Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa] reading:
Sannyasis [ordained Hindu monks and nuns] are not cremated because being purified by the fire of spiritual knowledge and merged in Brahman they do not require material fire to sanctify their bodies and convey the soul to the next world.
Swamiji: We don't go to any worlds. Just get that right. I think I am right and I stand by my words.
So many things I haven't read in the scriptures, nor heard, but I saw. And what I saw I can't prove is lies.
Atmaprana: Swamiji, in India they have these samadhis [burial places] of people like [Sri] Aurobindo and Ramana Maharishi and so on, where people go and sit and meditate. Is the vibration more there than somewhere else? [Picture of burial place of Sri Aurobindo's body pictured at top of this post]
Swamiji: What keeps the vibration alive is the devotee's thoughts. It increases it rather than decreases it. Unless wrong things go on there. It's like rubbing two stones together: the more you rub, the more fire you get. That's how it is.
I loved Aurobindo's grave in many ways, though I don't agree with him fully when he talks about our Master Sri Ramakrishna.
