Talks Excerpt 288. Swamiji says, ‘You do not know how much I love you all.’

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
Let us put our heads on the feet of all the great gurus [saints, sages, teachers] of the past, the present and the future, and ask that they put their hands on us and bless us always.
The body is God’s garden and ‘I am’ is the gardener. There is no ego-consciousness, no self-consciousness. If I work for my sake, I worry. If I work for God’s sake, it is His worry.
If the mind is dull, sing happy kirtans. If the mind is too active, sing calming kirtans, this leads to sattva, perfect peace.
We have to have experiences to get above them, to the place of non-experience. What you get then is the greatest experience.
Always be happy, laugh and be joyful, even if you are in pain. A swami is only a crutch. Stand on your own. He is here only for a few days and then he is gone.
You do not know how much I love you all. If I scold you, the same love motivates it, because you are my own. Otherwise why should I bother? All these are the forms of love. Do not think, ‘Oh Swamiji is scolding me, so he loves others more’, and so on. I do not love your body and your mind. I love You (your Soul).
When I first came here to the Ashram, every one I turned to, rejected me, till I finally turned to [the Divine] Mother. I prayed to her: ‘Now you have to help me, Ma, I am your child.’ And She did.
