Talks Excerpt 329. Swamiji quotes the origin of Swami Vivekananda’s ‘Arise, awake and stop not until the goal is reached.’

Rasalila is a word which indicates the secret love of God for the devotee. This needs purity of heart, mind, soul and faith to understand. Radha loves for love’s sake only, come what may.

All difficulties and all happiness come from God.

For God-realisation there must be continuous remembrance of God – continuous, all day. Meditation with deep concentration is the only way. So we need concentration and Guru’s grace. Use it [the grace], you have it already.

In great spirituality there is no worldliness, all is God.

Selflessness equals spirituality. Selfishness equals worldliness.

The world is a disease, purge it with sadhana and God’s name.

We must do every action for God, then thank God for letting us do it.

Ask yourself: ‘Do I desire or resent humility?’ If I feel superiority let me bow down and worship God in all.

The guru tells you to do something in order to correct yourself – or as a warning of what may happen. Be humble – feel it, do it.

Justification is ego, ego, ego. So be careful.

In household life you must borrow money or earn it. You suffer both ways.
