Talks Excerpt 330. Swamiji says: Do your duty [dharma] perfectly. This makes you free.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
We all need to practise self-control and meditation.
Know thyself. Know That [God]. Melt in That.
How to deal with desire, food, pride, hate, jealousy? Deny each one and it dies a natural death. Jealousy is seeing the other person with your eyes, i.e. with faults. Take jealousy away and see only perfection and purity.
Become a master. Realise, ‘I am God, he is God.’ This leads to God-realisation.
If you worry whether God likes you or not, this leads to trouble.
Do your duty [dharma] perfectly. This makes you free.
You are nothing. Make up your mind. If I am humble He [God/Guru] will raise me up. Surrender to Him and He will raise you up.
We liberate ourselves by loving one another.
Remember God in thought, word and deed.
A child’s nature is open minded, receptive, sensitive, warm-hearted, and friendly.
Freedom is as the water is to the wave, not the wave to the water.
Be the dust of His feet, then He will carry you.
We read in the scriptures: The present moment is infinity, it is more powerful than all the ages gone by.

These recordings or the excerpts from them, were made from the early 1970s onward, by Mother Radha, a close devotee of Swamiji’s and edited for uploading here by our gurubhai and her son, Brother Tim. Please be mindful that what Swamiji was saying may have been specific to an individual or a group of people with him, at the time.
