Talks Excerpt 363. Swamiji says: Why not prostrate to my feet as all feet? Then you are humble.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
You think the guru is the body. Nay. He is with you all the time, all the time, whether you know it or not. If someone slaps the guru’s face, are you prepared to give up your life? Only if you think he is the body. He is not the body.
To still the mind is not enough. Go beyond the cave of the heart, clear the scum off the pond and then look beyond.
Do everything perfectly. Be humble, pure, good, open-hearted. Learn to love. You will not love until you see the Self in all.
Do not ever defend yourself [this would likely have been spoken to the monastic disciples.]
In love there is respect – but no fear.
To sleep lightly is good because then you are more aware.
[To a devotee who had been waiting to see Swamiji] Have you been waiting long? Devotee: No, Swamiji. Swamiji: You have been waiting birth after birth, after birth.
See the guru in front of you all the time. You always go to the guru to get – but what are you going to give?
You say to the guru, ‘O Lord I prostrate at your lotus feet.’ But why do you not prostrate to all forms? Why not prostrate to my feet as all feet? Then you are humble.
The guru’s lotus feet are above water, so you can get right underneath.
