These excerpts from Swamiji’s talks number 164 focus on love in our daily lives.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
Separate the ‘I’ [ego – ahamkara] and Consciousness – the Seer [Atman] and the seen. The Seer is true – it connects the ego with the Universal Self.
Prayer, repeating the mantra, and knowing its meaning, leads to a harmless state within, which leads to awareness of Consciousness.
The greatest mantra is M-Y-O-B [mind your own business]. Don’t scold others. Get on with your own work. Put all your love in God. Don’t worry what others like or dislike. But don’t be unmindful of their needs.
Get in a car and pray, get out and pray.
Those I love, I trouble them. Those I feel must live on their own, I leave them. I don’t scold anybody – I just report what I see inside me.
The heart is the highest, but you must go there by using the intellect.
The goal of life is to know God, not only inside, but in ordinary life, in thought, word and deed. God is Omnipresent. So know Him everywhere, in everything. One must start with oneself.
Think of God’s different poses, sitting this way or that way – dressed up as Shiva, or Hanuman, as OM, as [Maha] Kali who is naked.
Pray for anybody, ask anything. The highest prayer is asking for love and devotion.
God is Omnipresent so He is everywhere. Pray for the Deity [Ishta Devata] to bless the whole universe. Feel It penetrate your whole body and skin, and the universe.
Sadhana [spiritual practise] is forced evolution – you try to get It [God-realisation] as quickly as possible.
In bhakti, surrender is not only physical – it is to accept life as it is.

These recordings were made from the 1970s onward, by Mother Radha, a close devotee of Swamiji’s and edited for uploading here by our gurubhai and her son, Brother Tim. Please be mindful that what Swamiji was saying may have been specific to an individual or a group of people with him, at the time.
