Day 842
The pen is an instrument in your hand. So too you are an instrument in His [God's] hands. Always remember this. If you forget it, go back to it.
Keep saying to yourself: Wake up, wake up.
The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna says, 'Master [Sri Ramakrishna] is the wish fulfilling tree.' You must go near the tree and it will fulfil your desires. What you ask he will fulfil. Go near – means: think of him all the time. Pray to him all the time.
When realisation comes you are always in samadhi [spiritual superconsciousness]. Then, where to go? Where to come? What does a realised man do or not do? If he is there he has no duty. What does he do? For him it is all play [a lila]. He moves all the time on the line of dharma [righteousness]. Sri Ramakrishna says of the [God] realised soul: He is like a professional dancer – he never takes a wrong step.
When there is guru's grace, those who think of the guru become the guru. They get automatic enlightenment.
Swamiji said about the incident when Master [Sri Ramakrishna] was in agony when a wounded man touched him: That is because Master becomes the deity [Ishta Deva] you worship. He keeps the poisonous trap of maya [illusion/delusion] away, each day.
