Talks Excerpt 352. Swamiji says: Pray, ‘O God, I do not know You, please reveal Yourself to me,’ and God will.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet.
Become enlightened, then the Guru will shine through you.
Never think of your great qualities, watch yourself each day.
Pray, ‘O God, I do not know You, please reveal Yourself to me,’ and God will.
Are you looking for happiness? You will never find it.
Seek bliss within yourself, but without violence. Nothing can be destroyed or protected. If you begin to protect something, that is already violence. The greenness of grass needs no protection – that is its dharma.
Arjuna, his brothers, and Draupadi, were all on their way to heaven but they looked back to see where the others were. One by one, each person passed away. Don’t look back to see who is following you. Help those in front to go along the road, yes, even a dog, but never lag behind.
What does the Guru’s light dispel? The soul’s darkness, that is ignorance.
Jiva is the soul with a mind and body. Shiva is a soul without a mind and body. This is your true Self, the Atman.
The Atman is like a thread running through the garland of life. Why do we forget this? Because we have the wrong image of the Self, we think the body is the Self.
Through fault-finding you become faulty yourself.
You must have faith in yourself and in God.
