Day 896
Rely on Hanuman [the great aboriginal devotee of Lord Rama], call him in thought, word and deed and do what he does.
Swami Vivekananda [the lead disciple of Sri Ramakrishna] said, 'Everyone on the spiritual path must worship Hanuman first. He is a perfect sannyasi [monk, renunciate, Swami], a perfect brahmachari [celibate in thought word and deed and in constant communion with God-thought], a perfect bhakta [devotee]. He is perfect in every way.'
To chant the Hanuman Chalisa you must be clean in thought, word and deed. When Hanuman is happy with you, everything comes right. He is the guru [spiritual preceptor] personified – the bodiless guru. He guards you without a body.
As a householder [lay devotee] do not go around finding fault. If the disciple makes a mistake, the guru will lovingly correct him.
Worship a God-realised soul and you will realise God. You are not forced to accept Ishwara [the personal God with form, dvaita] or OM [the formless, advaita, one indivisible universal consciousness known as Brahman], but it gives the principle that will make the mind concentrated. By doing this you have no thought waves, and thus you become God-realised.
Always know that Sri Ramakrishna is a unique manifestation. That is my experience. No Master under the sun was born like him in this Yuga [epoch, era, age]. There is no peer to Sri Ramakrishna.
If you emphasise his personality you become a fanatic. Instead, emphasise his absolute love. He gave absolute love to the absolute world. We also must give absolute love to the absolute world.
