Swamiji on anger: Hiss but don’t bite. Read the story. Talk Excerpts 170.

From Mother Radha’s notes, written at Swamiji’s feet
If you realise this world is an expression of God, you have spiritualised the world. Live constantly in the spiritualised world.
Think that you are omnipotent – even if it’s not expressed yet, it is in you.
For many years I loved Lord Shiva – but when I came to know who Sri Ramakrishna is, my love for Shiva increased thousands of times. I swear that is the truth.
Sri Ramakrishna says, ‘Hiss but don’t bite.’ [Story HERE.] How? By leaving no impression of anger on the mind.
Sri Ramakrishna is the Lord’s innocent guileless child.
When you are old you must take to religious life. Think what you did in your life. Offer everything to God, do everything for God. Offer death itself to God. Thus you get liberated.
It’s not difficult to realise God if you really want it. Don’t desire much, leave it to God.
Be conscious of Consciousness. You must become thoughtless in the conscious state, not in the unconscious state.
Don’t be proud to belong to Sri Ramakrishna; be humble. Pray like this: ‘Thank you God, you’ve given me shelter.’

These recordings were made from the 1970s onward, by Mother Radha, a close devotee of Swamiji’s and edited for uploading here by our gurubhai and her son, Brother Tim. Please be mindful that what Swamiji was saying may have been specific to an individual or a group of people with him, at the time.
